Responsible for conducting detailed investigative research to help clients identify and mitigate regulatory, reputational and political risks before proceeding with commercial relationships. This primarily involves undertaking research for compliance due diligence, background investigations, asset traces, risk assessments, as well as assessing sanctions exposure. I focus on German-, English-, and French-language investigations.I am also responsible for managing client requests in Switzerland.

Closely monitor local, national and international media for news stories that might alert Credit Suisse to financial crime-related risks (e.g., allegations of money-laundering activity, corruption, terrorist financing, etc.) and conduct follow-on research as needed.Conduct in-depth research to assess client type- (e.g. PEPs, Virtual Currency Exchanges, etc.) or country-specific risks (e.g., political instability, lax regulatory controls, drug trafficking activity, etc.) and author related reports to actively anticipate AML threats.Conduct in-depth analysis of letters rogatory.Assist in global searches to ensure fast and reliable identification of clients and beneficial owners.Initiate and coordinate searches globally.Assist in maintaining the firm’s Undesired Client Program to track individuals and/or entities with which the firm choses not do business.
