Omaya Ahmad is the Manager of Regional Market Policy and Regulatory Engagement at Arizona Public Service. She is a thought leader in the regional policy space working to balance our clean energy transition with serving reliable and affordable energy. She plays an integral role in APS's vision to participate in a day ahead market in the near future, which will allow increased access to clean energy and enhance reliability especially during extreme weather events at lower costs through greater cooperation across the West. Prior to her current role, Omaya was part of APS’s Sustainability organization, supporting APS's coal community transition efforts and social responsibility strategy. Omaya holds a PhD in Sustainability and a B.S.E. in Chemical Engineering from Arizona State University.
