On the Ad Tech side, I helped reorganize and 'platform-ify' our product feeds solution using Apache Storm and Kafka.Over in Customer Intelligence i built Wayfair's A/B testing platform. It was a multi-platform solution (in-session PHP and equivalent Java Rest API) that allowed for semi-randomly (but deterministically) splitting the Wayfair customer audience into myriad testing groups.

48hourprint.com is a growing online printing company. I was tasked with helping to build an updated version of 48hourprint.com's website. I've actually been involved in a number of mathematically challenging projects. For instance, I built a system to take the details of an order, calculate its weight, the number and type of boxes needed to ship the order, and then interface with a UPS API to determine the range of shipping types and quotes.

Turbine is a maker of Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (or MMORPGs). I was a member of the Services QA Team, and we were tasked with ensuring the quality of Turbine's 'non-game' systems, such as billing, login, and statistics collection. My main focus was the setup and installation of test environments. To that end I wrote documents used by us (and our overseas partners) to help with installing and configuring our software. I also trained a number of other QA personnel.

For about a month and a half I worked for a start-up high end internet cafe located in the Government Center section of Boston. As a result of my experiences there, I know what _not_ to do when starting up an internet cafe. Amadeus Boston Technology Center was the 'bought-out' name of the former technology department of Vacation.com. We built and maintained a travel agency portal website (deals for travel agents, website space and templates, email, and travel information) called AgentNet.comI worked as a Java engineer on various projects for AgentNet, including a system we once used to merge together the user information from a different, discontinued travel agency portal (@Amadeus). I was also responsible for building our 'travel atlas', which was used to improve our vacation search technology.
