During his tenure, he realises the importance communication holds in helping children and youth move towards the right direction in their developmental years. After graduating from The National University of Singapore with a Bachelor or Arts (Social Work), he first started out his career as a social worker in one of Singapore's most renown Family Service Center (FSC). Despite the short 2 years, Mr Oh gained a wealth of experience working with clients from various SES group. He discovered through this 2 years that children, especially those who are from complicated family, lacks certain factors in their growing up years. Mr Oh then moved into the education sector, serving as a full-time school counsellor. During his 10 years of service in the school systems, he further upgraded his own skills and knowledge. Mr Oh holds a Masters in Counselling from Singapore University of Social Studies, then known as UniSIM. His plethora of experience in the field includes working with children and adolescence who faces issues such as school refusal, relationship, motivational, anxiety etc. Mr Oh has also completed his advanced Diploma in Training and Assessment (ACTA V.6), and also a certified LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitator. He was last being invited to give a parenting talk in Pontian, Johor Bahru Malaysia in 2019, where parents and educators learnt about authority structure within the family. Mr Oh employs a joint-ownership approach when it come to helping clients resolve their issues. Mr Oh currently uses the widely known concept of the Love Languages, together with the understanding of the family systems, when it comes to assisting parents and their children to overcome certain social obstacles they face. His calm and approachable demeanour put children and youth at ease. Many find it easy to share and naturally opens up to him.
