Serve as an agency-wide technical expert and advisor in strengthening intercultural competence (IC) development and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) awareness and skill development, for overseas and HQ staff (including multi-lingual and multicultural teams).Design and facilitate virtual trainings and communities of practice for overseas staff (U.S. and host country national staff) to support integrating ICDEI learnings into organizational development.Consult and advise senior leadership (including Chief Diversity Officer and Regional Directors) on agency-wide DEI matters and implementation.Review public-facing and/or internal documents and provide feedback with an ICDEI lens. Curate and disseminate resources for overseas post staff on social identities, power and privilege, unconscious bias, and other critical concepts.Provide guidance around agency policy, content standards, and product development processes.Reviewed and provided recommendations to enhance new mandatory trainings by the Behavioral Health and Outreach team (related to pandemic stress, resilience skills, and coping with race-based stress).

Serve as the Peace Corps headquarters’ liaison and primary advocate for four overseas posts / five countries (Albania & Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Vietnam), as well as represent the posts or Peace Corps leadership to outside partners and stakeholders including embassies, government agencies, and private institutions.Champion and facilitate intercultural competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion (ICDEI) sessions and resources (onboarding new staff, staff development trainings, pre-departure orientations) and advise / consult post staff on integrating ICDEI in the field.Oversaw and coordinated agency-wide efforts to open a new program in Montenegro, with headquarters staff, the Government of Montenegro, and the U.S. direct hires in the field.Provide onboarding and deployment support for U.S. direct hires, and any host-country national staff attending trainings in D.C.Work with field staff to edit and tailor resources for Volunteers assigned to conflict-affected environments. Evaluate and analyze social and political developments of the four posts, monitor and edit program documents (briefing papers, MOUs, policy handbooks), advise senior leadership on programming, administrative policies, and decision-making.Manage all communications (written, in-person, oral, virtual) for the 4-month pre-departure learning continuum for over 250 candidates invited to serve in the Peace Corps each year. Review the staffing, fiscal budget, and programming plans (Integrated Planning and Budgeting Systems) for the four overseas posts, totaling over $7 million in annual program funds.Created a standard operating procedure (SOP) for the agency on steps to efficiently update all internal and external-facing systems in the event of a country name change (after the Prespa Agreement between North Macedonia and Greece in February 2019).

Organized and facilitated four Training of Trainers (TOTs) six days each, for a total of 118+ international field staff, on gender and intercultural competence, diversity, and inclusion (from over 60 countries).Trained and managed 35 facilitators and 20 coordinators based remotely or in D.C. for quality control and consistency of content delivery, handling emergencies, having difficult / sensitive conversations, and professional representation of the agency.Prepared 750+ Peace Corps trainees to be healthy, safe, and effective Volunteers through the Let Girls Learn extended pre-departure orientation (total of 352 hours of facilitation).Developed and maintained relationships with stakeholders of the pre-departure environment (18 offices within the agency), and served as lead liaison for the Let Girls Learn initiative.Edited and enhanced training curriculum and materials for three different models of pre-departure orientation (workbooks, flipcharts, PowerPoints, and videos), before and after collecting feedback from clients and stakeholders.
