Hello, I'm Sejoon OH. I'm a 3rd-year undergraduate student in Aerospace Department at KAIST, South Korea. I'm interested in structures for aerospace as well as control systems for UAVs and UAM. Currently, I am working as a summer research intern at the University of Leeds, about designing the control system of vector thrust fixed-wing UAVs. After I go back to Korea, I will try to seek a place for research interns on a control system of UAVs or either structure. I am planning to do M.S. and Ph.D. also in the aerospace field. Even though It was a short time(1 year), I ran a startup company in South Korea which operates an online forum and collects public opinion data from them, processes them, and sells them to those who need such as the press or political parties. I was also a vice president of the student council when I was a high school student. So, I have experience leading a team and handling internal conflicts. Also, I like to, and I am confident to give a speech to the public about my skills or work, in both Korean and English. I am always open to speaking and sharing my thoughts, even in the format of videos. Design is also my interest area. I always try to have a "Design-Thinking" mindset. I always think about the user who will be going to use my product or the future readers and customer who will be going to use my research results. I try to think in this way so that my research is not a waste of time, but to help the world to be a better place. That's why I'm trying to focus more on practical research topics. Not only design-thinking, but I am also doing minors in Industrial Design at KAIST, to make sure I can have basic skills to express my thoughts in sketches, and also to make me comfortable in the future if I have to team with expert designers. These kinds of skills are already helping me when I try to express my research results with organized data and clearly visualized posters.
