Works closely with the Senior Enlisted Advisor to advise the BN Commander and ensures the continuity of policies, programs, and procedures.-Principal staff advisor to the Battalion and MEPS Commanders on management and operations of multiple, geographically dispersed MEPS within the Battalion.-Applies analytical and evaluative techniques of a wide range gained through extended study or experience to resolve difficult and complex problem areas for multiple geographically dispersed MEPS.-Provides authoritative advice and recommendations to the BN Commander on the strategic direction of the organization in all areas relating to personnel, operations, logistics, and finance.- Provides advice, oversight, and management for all aspects of BN and MEPS employee performance programs, workforce management, disciplinary actions and employee & labor relations in coordination, as appropriate, with legal, OPM, employee relations, (CPAC), and applicable union agency representatives and Interservice Recruiting Commands.-Represents the BN Commander in advising and assisting individual MEPS Commanders and staff across a broad spectrum of program areas. Frequent contacts are with USMEPCOM Directorates, Special Staff, and Sector Staff, Interservice Recruiting Commands (e.g., Brigade and Battalion level), outside agencies (e.g., USO, Red Cross, MWR, Fleet and Family Services, local representatives) to facilitate accomplishing the MEPS’ mission.-Serves as the civilian workforce resource and advocate for the BN. Provides oversight of DPMAP, GFEBS, and OIP. Keeps the BN Commander apprised of applicable matters relating to Department of Defense, Department of Army, USMEPCOM, Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC)policies, regulations, and precedents.
