I am a motivated statistician with a background in mathematical biology, and statistics, and an interest in survey methodology. My goal is to employ these competencies in a data science role. My experience in healthcare has shown me the power of data storytelling. I love taking a project from the nitty gritty raw data through to a polished product filled with visualizations that are informative but not intimidating. My strength lies in collaborating and translating analytics and technicalities into usable, understandable products. The best projects are the ones where I get to play the expert in data and analytics, and learn about a new subject or context from the rest of the team. I understand the need for data driven decisions that can have positive impacts, and am willing to innovate and iterate until we find the best solution. I also enjoy baking, reading cookbooks and murder mysteries, and knitting.
