Electrical Member - Radio Transmissions
As part of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering subteam, we are responsible for the construction and development of stable flight computers, parachute systems and functioning flight altimeters (just to name a few). Currently, we are working on developing a rocket which will be launched in 2025 to compete against other North American universities and/or rockets in its own divison. I am working on the RF technology of the rocket thereby developing related skills to aerospace engineering and radio frequency communications. Currently using 400-500MHz frequencies to develop 'fintennas' which will be embeded in G10 fiberglass fins to ensure low signal shortage. Will be working to manufacture aerdynamic fins and ensure proper aerodynamic, structural integreation with the rest of the rocket along with utilizing Raspberry Pi's and providing basic PCB assistance to the hardware subteam.
