Working within the Faculty of Medicine supporting the delivery of various aspects of the undergraduate medicine course including:- Clinical Communications Tutor - Professional Values & Behaviours (PVB) Tutor - OSCE Examiner - Undergraduate Admissions Interviewier (MMI)

Working with the Director of Clinical Studies and Medical School to deliver the undergraduate medical education service. Key responsibilities included: - Design and delivery of placements for Year 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 medical students including tutorials, clinical skills sessions, bedside teaching- Promoting high-quality medical education through supporting and mentoring junior doctors with educational projects - Managing pastoral needs of medical students whilst on placement - Simulation Instructor for medical student/student nurse and junior doctor/preceptorship nurses high fidelity simulation courses. This also included the supervision of new instructors. - Production of courses including a Finals Mock PACES course (150 students over 3 days), Make Me a Medic, a widening participation event for local school children interested in a career in healthcare. - Regular delivery of teaching within post-graduate medical curricula including grand rounds and foundation doctor teaching Clinical duties were undertaken in Gentiourinary Medicine

I was employed to consult on a wide range of issues that affect the museum and its engagement with young people. I initially worked on the museum's contribution to the 2012 Cultural Olympiad as part of the national Stories of the World programme. This included co-curating a ground breaking exhibition and helping to facilitate worthwhile, non-tokenistic engagement with young people from across London. This involved attending meetings with relevant museum staff and external specialists, undertaking in-depth research as well as presenting at and attending national conferences. I then worked with the museum on their future development to ensure that they continue to keep young people at the heart of the organisation; this has most recently included applying to national funding bodies; discussing major building development plans with the museum’s architects, stakeholders and senior management; consulting on the museum’s exhibition programme; in addition to the ongoing development of the young people's programme.

Based at the Scotstoun Venue home to the Squash and Badminton competitions as well as athletics and aquatic training centres, I managed a team of up to 10 to ensure that we met the needs of spectators with additional accessibility requirements. This involved liaising with our clients and their companions, other on site teams as well as external contractors and agencies to ensure a smooth running of the service. The role required excellent communication, planning and problem solving skills in a fast paced, dynamic and ever changing environment.

Working across the organisation, I assisted with a large number of projects including maintaining and improving the website, developing a resource pack for healthcare professionals working with young people. I also assisted senior staff with planning for the organisation’s national conference, publication of Key Data on Adolescence 2013 (KDA 2013) and also undertaking in-depth literature reviews. Throughout the internship I spent time building relationships with professionals, academics and Department of Health officials by attending conferences and collecting case studies to help the organisation to move forward with its work.
