As a senior assistant secretary at one of Africa's leading Universities, my role involved;Following-up with the Administrative Units and Colleges on the timely implementation of Council and Management decisions;Liaising with Secretariats of Council Committees on implementation of Council Committee almanac and ensure that Committee decisions are communicated to the responsible University Officers;Coordinating with the University Bursar and the Director Estates and Works on the management of University plant and assets;Liaising with the University Bursar to coordinate the Annual Board of Survey;Supporting with the Secretariat function of Council Committees;Coordinating with the University Bursar on the preparation of the budget performance report;Supporting the Planning Unit in preparation of the University annual report;Supporting in digital communications of the University Council decisions.

Lecturing part time at the Department of Development Studies

RISE-UP project seeks to constructively integrate urban refugees in Kampala as productive economic actors through running an apprenticeship programme, providing a marketplace for products #MadeByRefugees and connecting urban refugees to relevant social networking and professional opportunities.

At KAS, I managed partnerships organized conferences and workshops, conducting research and writing articles on relevant socio-economic and political themes. I led the organization’s digital communication activities and coordinated and convened special projects such as the Uganda Social Media and Kampala Geopolitics conferences. I also co-created and co-convened trainings in political economy analysis, climate change, social media for governance and access to information. At KAS, my key achievements were: Conceptualized 100+ project activity ideas; gave 5 keynote addresses; moderated 50 events; panel discussant at 50+ events; published 20+ articles; edited 1 book, directly managed 10 grantees; curated 10 international conferences.
