Dr. Yardimci has experience in energy markets, economics of regulation, tariff practices, international business transactions, international law and energy law.He graduated from Middle East Technical University (TR), Department of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering in 2004. He received his MBA degree from Atilim University (TR) in 2008 and participated in an Executive Program on economics of regulation at Michigan State University (USA) in 2008. He completed his Master of Laws (LL.M.) at PennState University (USA) from 2013 to 2015. He completed Ph.D. in finance at Hacettepe University (TR) in 2016 with a thesis on “Effectiveness of Regulation: An Investigation of the Turkish Natural Gas Distribution Sector”. He was an Academic Visitor at University of Oxford (UK), St Antony's College, South East European Studies (SEESOX) from 2019 to 2021. His research at SEESOX focused on the disputes in the Eastern Mediterranean and energy geopolitics. He is a Jean Monnet Scholar (EU, 2019) and an Eisenhower Fellow (USA, 2023). He started his professional career as a reservoir engineer in an international oil and gas company and continued at the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA). He worked in different departments of EMRA such as department of tariffs, natural gas market, electricity market, oil market and finally energy transition. He is currently working as the Head of Digital Transformation Group at EMRA. He gave lectures at undergraduate and graduate levels in various universities and institutions in Türkiye and abroad such as Middle East Technical University (TR), Bilkent University (TR), Hacettepe University (TR), Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (China), CIU (TRNC), University of Pristina (Kosovo), ERRA (Hungary). He teaches economics of regulation, financing of energy investments, oil and gas law, petroleum economics, reservoir engineering, production engineering, energy transition.
