As the Chair of the Board and Lead at Green Leaf Kenya CBO, I oversee the strategic direction and leadership of the organization, ensuring that we stay true to our mission of empowering communities through climate change advocacy, environmental conservation, and sustainable agribusiness. I work closely with our board, staff, and community partners to drive impactful initiatives that promote inclusivity, with a focus on women, youth, and persons with disabilities (PWDs).My role involves:Leading the organization in setting long-term goals and strategies to address key environmental challenges in Homa Bay County.Overseeing program development, particularly in climate change mitigation, land rehabilitation, and climate-smart agriculture.Building and maintaining relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders to secure the resources and support needed to grow our impact.Championing inclusivity across all Green Leaf Kenya’s projects, ensuring the participation of underrepresented groups, including women, youth, and PWDs.Guiding the organization’s public outreach and communication efforts to raise awareness and inspire action at the local and global levels.Through my leadership, Green Leaf Kenya remains committed to fostering a greener, more resilient future for the communities we serve, while promoting sustainable livelihoods and environmental stewardship.
