Behavior Specialist
CurrentDevelop coordinated and individualized behavior management program to meet clients’ needs; participates in the planning development and implementation of program, procedures and best practices related to instruction using ABA principles. Plans and support the development and implementation of programs, policies, and best practices relative to the management of students’ behaviors, including students with Autism, emotional disturbance, other disabilities as well as students with 504 plans and/or in general education. Develop, train, and coordinate the work of paraprofessionals implementing behavior intervention programs. Conducts Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) or Functional Assessments (FA); collects and analyze data as part of assessment, develop and monitor behavior recommendations and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Coordinate stakeholders to develop, monitor and evaluate behavior management strategies and proactively manage their expectations. Continuously develop knowledge and competency in the field of ABA; attend and support IEP meetings where necessary
