* Design, coordinate, and engineer telecommunications structured cabling systems including cabling, pathway, and spaces, grounding and bonding in markets such as: Aviation, Healthcare, Higher Education, telecoms and Workplace* Responsible for the planning, dimensioning and implementation of Fiber transmission & last mile equipment* Carry out Fiber test and splicing* Oversee and supervise capacity planning, dimensioning, and network expansion in conjunction with the business* Ensure that all third party leased circuits (mostly interstate) are protectedReport on capacity, inventory and utilization of applicable transmission and carrier equipment *configurations. Provide detailed engineering documentation to ensure the success of required projects and their support.* Responsible for maintenance, upgrades of fiber components.* Ensure KPIs in the SLA of service providers from onset to achieve the following availability (last mile=99.999% & 3rd Party=99.9%* Co-ordination with the field engineers for rectifying fiber link problems and improving the link performance and quality

• Provide necessary technical support to the data center.• Responsible for the physical installation of cabinets, cages, cables, shelving, cable management, routers CSU/DSUs, servers, PDUs, modems, switches. Terminate and troubleshoot twisted pair, coax, RJ45, fiber, BNC connections.• Responsible for improving the security of the facilities.• Provide remote hands services for customers as required including reboots, testing/trouble shooting, making and installing cables• Ensure proper and smooth maintenance.• Answer client queries with prompt and satisfactory responses.• Monitor routine occurrences in tasks related to the data center to identify issues early. Once identified, these issues then should be promptly resolved.• Responsible for tracing and tracking network and transmission cable. • Cable installation, cable mining, and cable identifying, labeling and testing• Responsible for powering and maintenance of UPS, Inverter and Stabilizers.
