I love building new things. I am theoretical physicist turned a software architect. Partly a pragmatic engineer passioned about robustness, performance, scale and customer focus, partly a scientist searching for elegant designs driven by order and simplicity.I am a startup guy. I thrive by taking ideas from inception to a revenue generating enterprise products. Through my career I played key roles in VC funded startups (I co-founded one), in startup-like projects within Fortune 500 companies and in startup-like teams in academia. Also, I did a research stint as a Principal Investigator at Sun Labs building technology similar to Docker (few years before Docker).My competencies include: distributed systems, operating systems, file systems, system management, cloud-based architectures, performance and scale optimizations.
