About Olaiya Olayemi

I am a writer, performance artist, filmmaker, and sound artist with a B.A. in English/Creative Writing (minor African/Black Diaspora Studies) and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing. I have experience in tutoring, mentoring, counseling, social services, fundraising, and editing. I aspire to be a college professor specializing in the areas of writing for performance and Africana Women's Studies. As an artist, educator, and activist, I use my art and teaching practices as vehicles for social change.
