Through different approaches, he has facilitated capacity building for smallholder farmers to enable them exert their influence beyond the farmgate, including the upstream sector through the downstream of their respective supply chains on one hand, and to be able to be key players at the policy arena and the market services environment on the other hand. This is ditto for MSMEs along their respective value chains. He is legally authorized in the US to work.Skilled in development program conceptualization and design; project management (including monitoring & evaluation, and learning); food security policy research analysis and communications; strengthening of rural institutions for community development; and stakeholders' engagement.Had experience working with civil society organizations and other non-state actors in different economic sectors of Nigeria. The main responsibilities include:• The “Market Access for Small Sorghum Farmers in Northern Nigeria project” in collaboration with Guinness, Nigeria focused on developing market access & guaranteeing increased income for poor small-scale sorghum farmers in Kano & Katsina states.• Managed the design and implementation of the Fair Trade for Cotton Advocacy Project for Nigeria, with focus on re-energizing the development of the sector which resulted in development of complementary regional strategy for the C4 Cotton Producing Countries in West Africa (Mali, Senegal, Republic of Benin & Burkina Faso).• Managed the “Market Access for Small-Scale Farmers (SSFs) in the Middle Belt Region, Nigeria project. The project was able to support the Nigerian small-scale agriculture by facilitating the federation of small-scale farmer (SSF) groups comprising of over 4,000 farmers. The outcome laid the foundation for ASSAPIN and SWOFON which are currently playing critical roles in the agricultural sector of Nigeria.The additional responsibilities performed during the period include:• Member, Commonwealth Education Fund (CEF), Nigeria Project Steering Committee (2003-06): The CEF project committee was focused solely on supporting advocacy in education sector.• Oxfam GB Projects Annual Impact Review of Market Access Program in Ghana (2005) - a redeployment from similar role for Oxfam GB in Nigeria as the Lead Evaluator/Team Leader of 2004/05 impact review & evaluation of Oxfam GB program titled ‘Market Access Coordinator’s Program Management & Administration, Ghana.
