• Ensures completeness and accuracy of the General Ledgers.• Provides timely, accurate and relevant financial information to multiple internal and external stake holders; based on historic, budgetary, forecast analysis, at line of business, legal entity and consolidated levels.• Ensures that complete and accurate supporting information for all investments and financial transactions are maintained by the Transaction Support Unit.• Prepares monthly proofs for assets, liabilities, interest income and other financial statement captions.• Reconciles bank and investment accounts on a regular basis.• Carries out detailed financial analyses using easy-to-use tools.• Prepares periodic management accounts to the Executive Leadership Committee and other relevant entities, with detailed variance analysis report.• Prepares Interim and Annual Financial Statements in a timely manner.• Manages the tax function and ensures prompt compliance on a business as usual basis.• Liaises with external and internal auditors during audit exercises.• All other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor

• Support the preparation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS and entity’s accounting policies, local and international accounting and financial reporting standards and practices• Review balance sheet items for accuracy and compliance with disclosure requirements stipulated by relevant accounting standards.• Review monthly financial statements, noting major deviations from plan and risk areas and prepare variance analysis to Team Lead, Financial Reporting Officer.• Prepare schedules for independent examination of financial statements by external auditors.• Collate relevant supporting schedules to ensure all documents, records and schedules are available and sufficient to meet external audit/regulatory requirements.• Research the impact of change activities on regulatory reporting requirements and assists with timely updates to financial information.• Provide recommendations related to industry and company analysis; evaluate and properly interpret the influence of the macroeconomic environment on the organisation.• Evaluate the tangible and intangible economic benefits of the investments based on cashflow analysis.• Utilize business unit reporting systems for management, project or performance reporting and implement processes to deliver management information according to the reporting cycle• Prepare and provide accurate and timely financial data, where appropriate, for inclusion in the financial control process.• Communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders to stay abreast of industry trends.• Ensure accurate and complete data and compliance with company processes by applying consistent operational policies and controls within their area of responsibility.• Interpret relevant legislation and regulations, legal documents, standards, and codes of practice relevant to the business units and their implications.

To prepare and maintain daily summary report on deposit/LAD to generate average volumes.Assist in preparation and timely delivery of accurate financial statements as well as complete report to management and board on monthly, semi-annual and annual basis.Creation and population of all working templates for preparation of monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual bank’s report to the management and board with actual numbers and the budget.Review of the GL generated to establish the cause of the movement in earning assets, interest bearing liabilities and other key areas of the profit and Loss and the balance sheet.Prepares Trends/Variance Analysis Reports with recommendations for improvements.Computation and Measuring of Earnings Yield and Cost of funds by product. Analysis of interest income and fees and commission income.Analysis of bank’s major cost contributors with recommendations for cost reduction/curtailment.Computation of monthly Capital adequacy & Liquidity ratio, and other regulatory ratios to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Provision of required data and information to external auditors and regulators from time to time. Respond efficiently to any queries which may arise from the financial reports.To provide timely information to varying requests by departments and branches.Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate group financial reports using the Group Accounting Policies. Perform adhoc duties as may be required from time to time.

Disburse loans within the specified approved limits.Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process.Review and update credit and loan files.Explain to customers the different type of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those services.Compute payment schedules.
