The IT and Communications (ITC) Kernel Group develops common data exchange solutions and the related communication profiles streamlining communication solutions for data exchange.

De CoP bestaat uit deskundigen van aan MFFBAS deelnemende bedrijven en wordt ondersteund door EDSN. Deze deskundigen hebben zowel (proces)inhoudelijke en technische kennis als de vaardigheid om te 'onderhandelen'. De deskundigen hebben zitting in de technische commissie namens de marktrol van hun bedrijven en participeren dus als min of meer onafhankelijke deskundigen. Daarnaast nemen zij ook hun bedrijfsbelang mee bij het ontwikkelen van sectorbrede oplossingen met een breed draagvlak. De CoP bevat voor wat betreft haar samenstelling een dwarsdoorsnede van de markt (kleine en grote bedrijven, diverse marktrollen).

EASEE-gas was set up in 2002 in order to develop and promote business practices to simplify and streamline both physical gas transfer and trading across Europe. This was a geographically spread system. Furthermore I performed architectural support of Oracle, migration Novell - Windows NT, SAP R/3 in a Windows environment, security, Token ring and Ethernet LAN and NT system administration. Preparation of systems for the Year 2000 changeover.Dutch Tax Office:Projectleader of the project for the implementation of tooling supporting the production process of a standard workstation, including automated build, version control and distribution.

Responsible for the management of the IT operations department consisting of 5 people with a 1.5 M budget. Activities implied a.o. international IS contacts, advising management board, information planning and contract management.Projects:Start of ITIL based working;Security implementation (firewalls etc.);LAN redesign;Migration to a complete Windows based office environment.

Responsible for the execution and supervising of system administration of mainframe (Bull), servers (Unix, Novell, Windows) and PC's. IT advisor for the IS manager.Realised projects:Integration of Engineering and IS systems;DOS to Windows migration;Implementation of LAN and WAN infrastructures, including Internet connections;IT security;Automation and outsourcing of operations;Distributed printing (Océ solution).

Functional and technical support of the Engineering computersystems (Apollo, HP and Silicon Graphics Unix workstations) and implementation of CAD solid modelling and simulation (SDRC IDeas), DTP (Interleaf) and Document Control Management System (SDRC DMCS). Implementing my graduation paper "Computergestuurd 3D-meten van gietstukken" (Computer controlled 3D-measurement of diecast models). This implementation generated an enormous time-saving in the quality control of the complex diecast models. A Mitutoyo 3D measurement machine was used.
