Leader of the Research Unit at the Dept. of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Odense University Hospital including 3 professors, 7 post. docs, and 15 Ph.D. students.

Pelvic Cancer has approximately 450 employees and we diagnose and treat malignant urological diseases, malignancies in the male and female reproductive organs, and colorectal cancers. We also take care of benign urological and inflammatory bowel diseases. The treatment is highly specialized and we aim for world class results. We work in multidisciplinary and multiprofesional team’s and the decisions of treatment are made at multidisciplinary team conferences. Our daily work is supplemented and the clinical results improved by different sorts of research (basic, translational, epidemiological, and clinical research) which is a cornerstone in treating patients with cancer. We also take care of education on different levels (nurses and medical students to training of highly specialized surgeons) and have close, professional collaborations with medical companies and colleagues throughout the world.
