I am currently proud to tell that I am starting in a PhD Candidate Position at the "Alfred Wegener Institut für Polar und Meeresforschung", more specifically i work at the "Helmholtz Institute for Functional Marine Biodiversity" in the beautiful city of Oldenburg.I have finished my studies in the Double Degree Masters Programm Water and Coastal Management(M.Sc.)/ Environmental and Infrastructure Planning(M.Sc.) at the Universities of Groningen and Oldenburg. Prior to this I aquired a Bachelor of Science Degree in Maritme Technologies from the University of Applied Sciences in Bremerhaven. The connecting element between my studies and also my hopes for a future workplace are bound to the sea, in that field I acquired a plethora of knowledge ranging from the technical/ marine sciences side that was taught at the "Hochschule Bremerhaven" over the perspectives on enivornmental protection and policies from the Universty of Oldenburg to knowledge about the world of spatial planning in the 21st century that is taught at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen.
