With over 17 years of experience in software research and development, I am a senior manager of software engineering at Bruker, a global leader in X-ray and optical metrology solutions. I lead the algorithm, firmware, system software, and SQA teams for a new type of X-ray real-time automated inspection system that uses computer vision, robotics, and machine learning techniques to enhance quality and efficiency in various industries.Previously, I was the senior director of software engineering at SVXR, a startup that developed the X-ray inspection system and was acquired by Bruker in 2021. I was responsible for hiring and managing the software teams, developing the algorithms for image processing, 3D reconstruction, and metrology, and developing the machine learning components for noise reduction, object classification, and defect detection. I also successfully submitted 510(k) applications for medical devices and established software product development processes compatible with FDA and international regulatory requirements.
