I am Oleksandr Potapenko, I started my career in 2005, when I joined EBRD. And now I have over 15 years of experience in corporate finance, banking and asset management. Since 2016 I was licensed by Ukraine’s Stock Market Regulator to perform asset management and securities trading. For more than 5 years, I was the CFO of UFuture Group, UFuture – is one of the largest holding companies in Ukraine It’s portfolio consisted of diversified assets from real estate & infrastructure – to pharmaceuticals & IT. My professional activity in the later years has been related to IT-market. in 2020, I started to perform consulting and advisory to international Tech & IT companies. I helped them to build finance functions, access banking and enter new markets. I also launched development of financial software which simplified corporate budgeting, cash-flow planning, payment processes and reporting. So, I have deep knowledge about how companies make their domestic and cross-border payments, how they manage liquidity, what problems they face and I understand well the needs of IT business on the one hand and the reality of the banking sector, on the other hand. I believe that FinTech has a great potential.
