Responsibility for the financial management and controlling of Maersk Line's Profit and Loss Accounts for the routes/activities managed out of Europe (approximately half of the global Maersk Line turnover).

Based in Copenhagen, heading up the finance, corporate affairs and business development function for Maersk Line's agencies and subsidiaries in Europe. The portfolio covered about 75 companies in 30 countries with more than 5,000 employees, each of which then was managed through a Board structure¨. Member of the Boards in 11 of the countries, hereof 3 as Chairman.

Tokyo, Japan

A total of 9 companies in the group, of which 4 were joint ventures. Following the burst of the japaneese bubble focus was on consolidation, which included mergers of companies, buy-outs of JV partners and sale of real estate.

Madrid Area, Spain

CFO for the Maersk Group of companies in Spain, 6 companies in 13 cities which a.o. included liner, forwarding and terminal activities. The latter included the construction and financing of the APMT terminal in Algeciras (to that date Maersk Line's largest on shore investment globally).

Joined at the start-up of Maersk's own company in Korea, which at the time was a joint-venture with a Korean Partner.
