I've been working with web technology, strategy, design, development and content ever since there first was a web to work with.Through my university studies (literature, psychology and philosophy) I supported myself as a freelance journalist and fledgling web developer. I helped Norway's oldest newspaper, Morgenbladet, become the first publicly available "on-line newspaper" in Norway.After completing my bachelor in 1995, I joined Telenor Media as a managing editor and "channel developer" for websites Origo, Spinn, Kinetik and others. In this early dot-com area I worked on a wide range of projects. In the beginning we hand-coded every published article and uploaded with FTP, with inline styles. That was inefficient, so we made a CMS (we just called it a "publisher" back then). The technology was used by several newspapers, and quite a few CMS startups were spun off as separate companies.In 1999 I took a break from web journalism and web technology both, and went backpacking through Asia for a while. Upon my return to Norway, I joined Nucleus as a communications consultant, working mainly with public relations for clients, business magazines, web strategy and development.In 2003, I went solo, acting as my own employer for the next five years. In close collaboration with Uniform Strategisk Design, I worked with clients such as Tjuvholmen (Selvaag), Vinmonopolet, Olav Thon Gruppen, Engelstad, Ringnes Eiendom and many others.In 2008 I co-founded Apasje Design og Kommunikasjon (Apache Design and Communication Consultancy, in English). The same year, I published my first book ("Norsk Mafia", a non-fiction book on organized crime in Norway).Specialities: Programming (PHP and Javascript), front end development (HTML5, CSS3 and various CMS's), hosting (LAMP), website structure and concept design, traffic analysis, web app solution architecture, content production and management.
