My name is Igor Olemskoi and I have been supporting and configuring servers for good and solid 20 years. I am a self-trained sysadmin. Back in 1998 I had a task to connect several computers to the Internet, so I built a so-called “server”. I wanted it to be stable and productive, so I rolled out Linux. I started adjusting different settings and got sucked into it.I had been gathering my experience by helping friends and acquaintances when I realized that I need to make money of my knowledge in 2007. I had to hire assistants and establish a company, named Centos-admin.ru, which had been later renamed to Southbridge, in order to meet the demands of the market. During that time my first huge client, Darberry, Russian division of Groupon, came in. Right now I employ from 20 to 30 sysadmins and my company runs several thousand servers. Now I run business, not servers. I am qualified enough to evaluate complexity of a task, performer’s qualification level and his performance.
