I am Olga and I am a computer and electrical engineer. For many years I have been dealing with various parts of embedded software mostly dealing with the board bring up phase of new hardware. My preferred challenge has been porting various boot loaders (including U-boot) and Linux on a variety of different hardware platforms. I am particularly familiar with the debugging procedures and have played a key role in aiding the hardware developers team solve early design/production faults. I mostly work in C, C++, Bash and Perl. I have also written a number of kernel drivers and system upgrade/diagnostic tools. I have good knowledge involving different processor families including Freescale (PowerPC), Wintegra (MicroSemi, former PMC-Sierra) and MIPS. For the past year, I have been leading the design and development of an advanced software framework, aimed at enhancing the management and accessibility of hardware properties across our product lines. This initiative introduces a robust GUI for hardware developers, an automated parser for extracting hardware specifications, and a terminal interface for production adjustments, all integrated seamlessly with the Linux kernel for superior data accessibility.A key achievement is the establishment of a dual-format storage system, where hardware profiles are meticulously stored in a binary format on the system's flash for efficiency and a corresponding JSON format in version control for easy web access and change tracking.Looking ahead, the next phase will focus on integrating the SAP system to automate inventory management, further enhancing the framework's capabilities to streamline production workflows and improve inventory precision. This project underscores my personal commitment to bridging hardware design with innovative software solutions, promoting seamless collaboration across departments.
