Preparation of progress reports and annual research reports in coordination with the Academic and Project Departments. Propose University research policies. Promote and supervise research carried out throughout the different academic units, as well as their systematization, mainly focused on marine reserves, marine species and aquaculture. Develop regulations and instructions necessary for the proper functioning of the research processes in accordance with the Academic Regulations. Guide, supervise and disseminate the Formative Research developed at the different Academic Departments. Member of the editorial committee of the University scientific journal "Hallazgos 21" since 2016, recently included in the system catalogue Latindex (at present). Committee organiser of the First International Congress PUCE-Esmeraldas 2017: For economic development and sustainable social policy in Ecuador.

Coordination of two research projects on characterization of phytoplankton community in Ecuadorian marine protected areas, Galera San Francisco and Galápagos, regarding their distribution, ecology, toxicology and taxonomy. Data collection, analysis and reporting.Teacher in environmental management degree, a total of 896 hours, on “Global Change” related to anthropogenic impacts, climate change, with an emphasis on the implementation of adequate conservation measures and “Experimental Design”. Supervisor of 7 graduate final projects about microalgae characterization in two Ecuadorian marine protected areas, studying the influence of the state of conservation on the community biodiversity.
