As a junior pursuing my BS in Environmental Engineering at the Tufts University School of Engineering, I am deeply passionate about sustainability, environmental justice, and environmental remediation. More specifically, I am interested in the field of water quality and its connection with environmental restoration, pollution remediation and desalination.Since my freshman year at Tufts, I have been an active member of Tufts Engineers Without Borders. Over the years and now as current Project Lead for the Nicaragua chapter, I have gained leadership, project management, fabrication, technical and research skills. Gaining and honing my technical skills has enabled me to help create a positive impact on our host community in Silvio Mayorga, Nicaragua. I hope to be able to continue to apply these skills to generate positive impacts in communities worldwide through working on innovative engineering solutions to water problems.
