Summary: Supervising, coordinating, and planning the activities of approximately 20 Sewing Machine Operators, ensuring that the team is performing at the highest level, reaching daily quotas, and most importantly, producing the best qualityMain responsibilities include:• Supervising, training, and providing appropriate instructions to approximately 20 Sewing Machine Operators of with various levels of expertise and diverse backgrounds to ensure that each operator has a clear understanding of how to perform within acceptable efficiency and quality• Reviewing of daily factory loading schedule, planning of production, organizing and scheduling of work flow• Developing samples and assessing approved production samples and specifications before beginning production for each released purchase order• Estimate resources required to ensure to ensure maximum efficiency and meet daily quotas• Regularly update operators on quotas (number of units per hour per day) required for maximum efficiency• Assign the appropriate operators with matching skills for the required tasks• Measure efficiencies and inefficiencies, and ensure all quality issues are being addressed by making corrections and improvements, where needed• Performing daily quality checks on each operator, and work with low performers to create action plans for improvement• Providing a safe environment within the department and manufacturing floor• Working closely with numerous departments, including cutting, sublimation, embroidery, printing, art and design, and packing (shipping and receiving)• Create BOM and SMT data for sewing operation, standard timing and cost for factory production, etc.• Production planning and coordinating control processes using ERP software (OLOTech)

Summary: Research and ordering of new components and trimming supplies for sewing production; coordinating and scheduling workload for subcontractors; pre-production sample making; pattern making, pattern grading, and pattern digitizing.Main responsibilities included:• Creating BOM data for sewing operation descriptions, standard timing and cost for factory production and contractors• Digitizing new patterns on Polynest, grading, up- and downsizing, single sample, and markers• Negotiating to achieve target price with subcontractors and trim suppliers• Coordinating 11 subcontractors across the Greater Toronto Area• Providing cutting tickets and production markers to subcontractors with detail packages• Overseeing the trim inventory • Working close with factory management, sewing production, quality control, inventory control, and shipping and receiving departments • Producing weekly reports, flaw reports, Sears Catalogue Smart reports, and factory inventory reports, and trim production reports for Factory Management
