About Olga Merezhuk
Olga Merezhuk is a Operations and Program Officer (Fixed Term Contract) at Initiatives of Change. She possess expertise in tourism, english, microsoft office, customer service, russian and 57 more skills. She is proficient in Polish, Russian and English. Colleagues describe her as "I had a pleasure to work with Olga for over a year. Olga is dedicated, self-motivatef and full of energy. She is also a great recruiter and project coordinator with highly developed interpersonal skills. She is a great team player and a truly awesome person." and "Olga entered the extended team which organised the yearly international conference Addressing Europe's Unfinished Business (AEUB) which takes place in Caux, Switzerland, as a volunteer. This happened as a spontaneous request from her part after having participated in the Young Ambassadors Programme (YAP) of AEUB in 2015 by representing Ukraine. I trained Olga for over 6 months on a remote format to have her ready to support the role of Languages and Interpretation Coordinator during the AEUB 2015 Conference. She attended several Skype meetings and worked through an online project management platform to learn about the project and understand the organisation, support different tasks and, build a team from all over Europe. The Conferences in Caux highly depend on the commitment and hard work of volunteers; without them, the running of the event is impossible. Volunteers play a great part in delivering the experience to participants through the micro-managing of a specific part of the conference. While the conference took place, Olga was in charge of everything related to languages and interpretation. She had to keep control of the languages spoken by all participants attending AEUB (close to 190) and find all the means possible to serve their needs, if they were not fluent in English. To this case, she served as the liaison person with the team of interpreters assigned to AEUB, which was composed of 3 pairs of people translating to and from English, French, German and Russian. The expectation of any Conference Coordinator is to have as little questions and clarifications as needed once the conference has started, to have as little surprises and problems to solve while it lasts; and to have little or no negative return at all, at the end of the event. All of that happened on the languages and interpretation activities thanks to Olga. I was sincerely impressed by this. She used her training and carefully listened to the needs of every side and worked towards delivering an excellent work. She was even called by the whole interpreters’ team who recognized in front of the AEUB core and enlarged team (about 20 people), how easy Olga had made their work during the 4 days and how efficient she had been on every request they have had. I could list a long number of qualities and topped it with the always-a-smile-on-her-face and service attitude that Olga has, but the above speaks by itself. I sincerely wish I will have the opportunity to collaborate again with her in the future as she is an excellent person and professional to work with."
Listed skills include Tourism, English, Microsoft Office, Customer Service, and 58 others.
