Southwark Works is the employability programme for Southwark Council, which is contracted out to a variety of organisations to deliver job support services to Southwark residents. I am employed by JCCS Ltd, the Coordinator of the network, and work within the Sectors Team of five. My duties include:- Working with employers on their recruitment briefs and providing them with potential employees- Providing administrative support to the Employer Relationship Manager- Registering new clients on the database (Hanlon) – in the form of an interview where I gather accurate information that will enable the correct action to be taken for that person- I help organising CV writing skills and interview techniques webinars on Zoom- I help clients update their CVs, I check their applications and cover letters- I am screening clients for specific roles being advertised by employers- Updating the database with information regarding the client’s journey and adding monitoring evidence- Supporting a caseload, meeting personal targets, which feed into the Sector Team’s KPIs and includes job and training outcomes- Answering employer and client inquiries on the phone and via e-mail

Worked for the Financial Conduct Authority on a high profile case, helped preparing unused material schedule.

Worked for DA's clients on a project-to-project basis as a document reviewer. I reviewed and coded documents according to the given set of rules, quarantined client/attorney communication, and ensured compliance with the data protection rules. Following training, I carried out quality assurance checks on first pass reviews.

As a trainee:- I prepared overnight translations of various legal documents, wrote updates, and hearing summaries for our international clients- I carried out legal research regarding Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), outsourcing, and tied agent rules under MiFID as well as financial advertisements and the responsibility of the board members of a financial institiution- I often prepared the first drafts of litigation and arbitration documents; assisted the associates and partners on hearings- Updated the Getting the Deal Through books for Arbitration, Financial Regulatory, and Project FinanceAs a solicitor:- I regularly advised international clients or colleagues on Hungarian Financial Regulatory questions- For 2 years, every quarter when the Hungarian subsidiary of a multinational IT company issued shares for its Hungarian employees I filed a notification with the Financial Regulator- I participated in due diligence projects of banks and other financial institutions; I reviewed documents uploaded to data rooms and helped with preparing the red flag reports on our findings. I was responsible for checking the regulatory matters including proper licensing and how the bank handled issues unveiled by the regulatory reviews.- When two foreign banks merged and one held a 10% interest in a Hungarian bank, I prepared the request for approval that was filed with the Hungarian Financial Regulator- For 2.5 years I was running 25-28 foreign currency-based mortgage cases (litigation) for our client, a retail bank (defendant) where I aimed to facilitate negotiations between the claimants and the bank. I won several cases both on the first instance and on the appellate level.- For a year, I also had the privilege to update the bank’s litigation manual with the latest Hungarian and EU decisions. This manual was used by 20+ law firms in Hungary- I was running other high-value / high-profile commercial litigation and international arbitration cases

After graduation, I joined Wincanton's graduate development programme (GDP). While I worked as a team leader and moved to a new site every 6 months, I also attended a 6-month long in-house management training. I gained useful insight and first-hand experience in operation and people/change management. While I was a team leader on the Screwfix contract, I practiced organisation and presentation skills as I was rolling out the Health and Safety presentations for 400+ workers. I developed strong business acumen as I led the forklift team; under my supervision, we saved £10K on forklift maintenance just in 4 months' time.

During my studies, I also worked as a passenger service agent at Luton Airport. - I honed my customer service skills when I checked in passengers and their luggage - I had to follow rules when allocating seats for disabled passengers or for mothers with young children- I dealt with difficult situations when the plane was late or passengers had excess luggage - I opened the check-in; I learnt how to display flight information on screens- When closing flights, I reported the figures to the despatcher who calculated the fuel intake; attention to detail was a must - At the gate, I made flight announcements, checked passports, and ensured passengers boarded the correct flights - Towards the end of my employment I stepped up as departures supervisor; I managed 3-20 colleagues and we ensured the safe turnaround of 20-22 aircrafts per shift

While I was attending the University I lived and also worked at the halls of residence. I helped out at the office with the registration when the new students arrived. During the semester I handled all sorts of issues from lost keys to fire alarms and building evacuation. As part of the job, I received first aid, fire warden, and conflict management training. I truly enjoyed this role as I met so many people and I learnt so much about their culture and customs.
