Olga Sarkova has a long-term experience in environment protection activities in the North Russia, including oil spill response (OSR) planning. She is an author and co-author of more than 60 OSR plans for offshore and onshore facilities. She is a certified rescuer and OSR expert. Since 2005 till 2008 she was and outstaff expert in oil spills response in the Russian EmerCom’s State expert commission.She has been taking part in the international cooperation in OSR field since 2001, participating in a number of international projects, exercises and volunteers training.She is a permanent member of the Russian-Norwegian Joint planning group (JPG) under the Agreement between The Kingdom of Norway and The Russian Federation concerning Cooperation on the Combatment of Oil Pollution in the Barents Sea, a member of Environmental protection, monitoring systems and oil spill contingency Task Force in RU-NO Barents Project and a deputy leader of the Working group on environmental protection and international cooperation in Arctic shelf development, established in the Murmansk region on the base of Association ‘Murmanshelf’.Areas of professional experience:Oil spill responce planning and consulting;Business administration;Market surveys;Strategic management;Work in project teams;Ecological support to non-Russian clients on business development and conducting in Russia, including coordination with municipal and government structures.www.vipsyst.com
