In a small team environment, one must be a resourceful, creative critical thinker and problem solver able to develop a multitude of skills to support the enterprise. In a team of three, I am responsible for providing the full scope of association management services to The Hip Society, The Knee Society, and Operation Walk USA. This includes partnering with leadership and boards to develop and champion organizational mission, vision, and strategy; managing committees and task forces, working with volunteers, overseeing multiple programs and projects; developing and aligning programs in support of mission; monitoring success; applying creative and innovative solutions. Areas of focus and expertise include, but are not limited to, governance, strategic planning, fiscal management, educational programs, meetings, special projects and initiatives, sponsorships and industry relations. As part of my leadership value offer, I explore, evaluate and implement new technologies, concepts, and foster alliances to further the missions of the organizations and to ensure stronger positioning in the field while maintaining the identity, culture and the unique character of each. (This position was promoted from manager to director in 2013.)
