The activities of IUSTICOM include: • Advising accountability mechanisms on how to better communicate with all of their diverse stakeholders, such as victims and affected communities, civil society, donors, states, inter-governmental organizations and the general public;• Simplifying complex procedures and explaining them in a language everyone can understand without sacrificing accuracy. • Organizing different events to support accountability mechanisms in achieving these goals – events focused on dissemination of information as well as capacity building, education and training (courses, conferences, round table discussions, training sessions, etc.).• Drafting diverse materials, including brochures for NGOs dealing with human rights violations as well as research papers for academic institutions. I wrote the report entitled “Communicating Justice: Lessons from International and National Courts and Prosecution Authorities Dealing with International Crimes.” The report was funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of the MATRA project “Strengthening Ukraine’s Capacity to Investigate and Prosecute International Crimes” – a joint initiative of the T.M.C. Asser Instituut and Global Rights Compliance.

To assist Synergy in fundraising and efforts to better promote its work, I conceptualized and drafted a report entitled “The Power of Continuity and Commitment in Conflict” on Synergy’s multi-year partnership with Lawyers and Doctors for Human Rights (LDHR), a Syrian NGO.

I assisted Synergy in devising and implementing a communications strategy for the launch of its reports on the impact on women of unlawful arrest and detention in Syria. I drafted key messages and the press release and conducted traditional media outreach, as well as social media outreach and monitoring.

Managed STL’s Outreach and Legacy, leading a small team which has implemented well over 100 conferences, round table discussions, seminars, workshops and working visits to the STL.
