Supported the integration of an overseas acquisition into the Howden network. I worked with Howden’s international division during its acquisition of the PWS Far Eastern operations. I developed inward revenue into the London operation by increasing the awareness of its capabilities. I successfully delivered a consistant flow of revenue into London whilst competing with other brokers and local markets available to the overseas operation.I also assisted in the day to day broking for the International team which involved placing accounts from all over the world.

Seconded to India to lead the growth and development of outward reinsurance business into international insurance markets whilst expanding the role to encompass the domestic and international private equity sector in India

Howden Risk Partners is a division within Howden Broking Group. I was the sole broker for the division with the responsibility of managing the insurer relationships whilst always striving to meet the clients requirements. The division focused on providing Directors and Officers and Professional Indemnity for Financial Institutions which included, Investment Trusts, Private Equity, Venture Capital and Hedge Funds companies.Achievements include:• Successfully managed underwriting relationships over a 4-year period that resulted in a 95% client retention rate and a 40% conversion rate on new business. New business accounted for 20% of the annual income during a period where revenues grew to £2.5m from £500k.• Won the Employee of the Year Award for the Hyperion Group (250+ employees). Awarded by the Group’s Board of Directors.

• Engaged to assist in running and developing the UK Professional Indemnity and Directors / Officers Liability book.• Primary classes of business included Solicitors, Estate Agents, Investment Trusts, Investment Managers, Surveyors, Architects and Independent Financial Advisors.
