Oliver took a career break to set up an award winning indoor cricket and football centre, the first of it's kind in the Northwest of England.

Key responsibilities:Oliver delivered a portfolio of projects and programmes through leadership of the IT Programme Management Office Application Team, and was a member of the IT PPM Leadership team, comprising IT PMO directors from Unilever’s four regions. He also held strategic and operational responsibility for the Global Application Integration Team after leading the implementation of the SAP PI integration hub. As a result, Oliver led the implementation of Service Orientated Architecture principles into Global Applications for B2B and A2A e-commerce. Oliver was also responsible for the ITIL Service Management Process and Application Team for about 12 months, providing a service to the IT organisation.Key Achievements:• The PMO Information Standardisation Project won a Unilever Central IT award• The PMO Applications team delivered major PMO change initiatives in all regions.• Oliver presented in a cross-industry Webcast about a Global PMO change initiative he led in Unilever• Oliver presented at the Gartner European IT Symposium in Cannes, France.

Key responsibilities:Working with the business project manager, Oliver was responsible for the IT Project Management of the Global Supplier Classification System. This was one project within a large programme of activities in the Supply Management space. As part of the larger programme, Oliver was responsible for engagement with the Africa region and facilitated regional delivery, programme alignment and stakeholder management for the other Programme Workstreams. Oliver led the offshore infrastructure implementation and operation of the Ariba eSourcing and Spend Analysis application, which was implemented for the Global Supply Management Community. When the Supply Management Programme was completed, Oliver became the IT leader for the specification, design, implementation and roll-out of Unilever’s Retail On Shelf Availability Measurement and Reporting System.Achievements:• The Supplier Classification System significantly enhanced Unilever’s information about commodity expenditure with global suppliers.• Oliver implemented data links between the ERP systems of 7 African countries and the central data warehouse.• Oliver successfully implemented organisational process change between onshore and offshore teams.• The overall supply management programme won the Central IT Award for 2006. • During Oliver’s Supply Chain IT role, the On Shelf Availability solution was implemented in the UK and USA. The roll-out has since continued to many other countries. The OSA IT project won a Central IT Award for 2008.
