Dr. Olimpius Istrate has over 20 years of experience in e-learning, digital technologies in education, programmes evaluation, and teacher training. Since 2004, he is part of the academic staff at the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, Teacher Training Department, teaching several courses at bachelor and master levels: Computer assisted instruction, Virtual learning environments, New media in education and training. Among achievements: co-founder Academia Online (2003), founder Elearning.Romania (2005), regional education manager at Intel (2007-2010), founder iTeach.ro (2010), eTwinning national coordinator (2011-2012), senior education officer at International Federation of RCRC Geneva (2013-2016), co-founder digitaledu.ro (2015). In the last 15 years, he coordinated over 30 projects and evaluation-researches focused on teacher training and the use of digital technologies to increase the quality of the education process.
