As a financial planning analyst in SES headquarters, my role is to provide a forecast of the revenue to the management (Executive committee and Board) over the next periods and explain trends and variations.To achieve this mission, I interact with the sales teams - to gather data on leads, market trends, pricing evolution, Technical teams - to get the latest information satellites availability, new assets and issues, and Development / Strategy teams - to obtain updates on investments projects, new acquisitions and upcoming specific deals.The challenge is then to create meaningful analysis depending on the horizon of the forecast (End of year forecast, Next year Budget or five year business plan) correlated to the group strategy and suitable for either internal or external communication.
