-Prepared sites for vegetable production, which included cultivation, weed control, seeding, and planting across many acres of land with different soil types and environmental conditions.-Worked independently and on a team doing the above tasks as well as harvesting, washing, and packing produce for CSA boxes and the Open Arms Kitchen. -Taught and led volunteers ages 8-80 years and varying skill levels through all the above tasks. - Learned about care needs for plants such as fertilization and pest removal, as well as identification of wild plants within and around the farms.-Kept focused work ethic to intern at 5 farms across the Twin Cities for theorganization.

- Assisted in environmental advocacy involving the community and government research, writing, and organization. -Communicated with local media on upcoming events and information on campaigns to organize advertisement and manage relationships with media organizations. - Wrote Letters to the Editor that increased community involvement in the organization’s campaigns through donations and calls to their representatives. -Sorted data for Get the Lead Out campaign, handling reports on lead levels in water at Minnesota schools. -Wrote papers for campaigns and introduction meetings to gain new coalition members, schools, and nonprofit organizations to our campaigns.
