Creating a safe space for therapists to build flourishing businesses

- Completed "Breaking Free," a 30-hour lay counseling certificate training course. - Participated in monthly Counseltalk webinars by expert Christian therapists on various topics.

Provide psychotherapy services to:- Individuals (relationships, codependency, complex trauma, emotional abuse & neglect)- Couples (communication, high conflict, intimacy issues, affair recovery, premarital)

- Tutored 70+ students (ages 4 to 75, diverse backgrounds) with lessons tailored to their strengths and needs. - Subjects: English, ESL, math, history, science, SAT, college application, and study skills.- Special emphasis on stress management and executive functioning. - Used counseling skills to foster environments conducive to emotional health and growth for students and their families.

- Assist with the development of MFT course schedules and planning- Assist with data collection for the program reviews- Utilize social media to provide timely communication with MFT students, faculty and alumni- Help set up paperwork for intensive courses and presentations- Setup, evaluate, and update practicum site binders- Organizing practicum job fair to connect students with local counseling centers - Assist with monitoring student licensing paperwork, practicum paperwork, and hours acquisition- Administer, process, and compile exit exams- Organize and help to implement addiction studies program- Assist with the MFT admissions process- Additional items to support the MFT Program and Seminary

- Recruited, trained, and managed 40 people to keep the House running 4 days/week for 9 months. - Met with the other staff members for vision casting and planning. - Served as the liaison between The Upper Room and the local churches in the Berkeley area.- Ran a two-day leadership seminar for 31 people by arranging the venue, guest speakers, schedules, and finances.

- Coordinated with 16 team members, the supervisor, and the advertising, facility, and presentation team leads to prepare and run a marriage workshop based on the work of John Gottman for 135 participants. - Created the workshop manuals and organized four breakout sessions.- Fulfilled the event manager role on the day of the workshop and followed up with participant feedback.

- Coordinated the finance, transportation, lodging, and networking for four two-week missions trips to Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras and Kenya. - Maintained a network of 200+ supporters for 7 years, raising a total of $4000 for the teams and $10,800 for my own missions fund. - Created booklets and DVDs for financial supporters using Microsoft Word, iDVD, iMovie, Garageband and iPhoto.

- Counseled and directed 50+ college juniors and seniors to actively engage in the community. - Facilitated small groups of 6-12 people weekly to discuss different topics (e.g. emotional health, leadership). - Fostered a safe environment for members to deepen relationships and empowered them to live out of their individual strengths and giftings. - Personally mentored and trained 11 women to become leaders themselves. - Meet regularly with pastoral staff and leaders (45+ people) to plan events for 300+ people. Planned registration, finance, and rides for semiannual retreats.
