I am Director of Employment and Skills at A New Direction where I lead programmes (Good Growth Hub / Create Jobs) that find, train and move young Londoners into work within the creative industries. Having built and driven the programme Create Jobs offer since its inception in 2011, I have been interested in testing solutions to how growth opportunities are matched with diverse talent which so often get overlooked and missed. My focus is about workforce development as set amongst a radically evolving and uncertain present and future. My background is as a programme producer, manager and director with over 20 years of experience working in education and cultural sectors focusing on the progression of young people through task-based and purposeful learning. I have worked and collaborated with a great range of public and third sector organisations as well as corporate and creative industries. My work, in one capacity or other, is about devising partnerships that enables positive change. I am passionate about the leveling of inequality through pragmatic solutions and believe strongly that diversity creates more robust, sustainable and innovative business. I have a strong work ethic and sense of professional integrity. I work to outcomes that are clear, measurable, and have legacy. I inform strategic decision through frontline experience.
