The role involved a variety of different tasks but the main tasks were as follows:- To review the Fusion 360 CAD lessons taught to first year students at the University of Warwick and to develop a completely new set of video classes, teaching resources and CAD models to be used to teach all new 1st years the core functions of CAD and the capabilities of Fusion 360. - To research and test the use of a filament extruder to produce our own 3D printing filament from failed, old or unwanted 3D printed parts. This was done to reduce the amount of plastic waste created within the build space, with the ultimate aim to tune the extruder to allow the production of filament from recycled from other waste plastic.- To repair and build an old 3D printer within the area to be used to test different self-produced filaments and experimental prints as to not break any of the other printers with more expensive and less replaceable part.
