I am in charge of the operations for the supply of school uniforms and school sportswear. I am entrusted with the management and supervision of 11 branches and their staff members. I make regular visits to branches to ensure high levels of in-store standards, monitor stock control, security and staff performance.Overall responsibilities:• Responsible for £3.0m worth of trade• Running my own stock takes twice a year• Monitoring and reviewing store performance on a monthly basis• Spot check tills, banking, bookwork and figures when visiting• Maximising sales through effective merchandising and marketing• Act as a key contact for all the schools • Arranging and chairing team meetings• Ensuring that the correct training is delivered to guarantee high levels of customer service in-store• Drive sales and profitability within my region by setting sales and financial targets• Act as a support group for all of my managers and help them achieve targets within their branch• Help grow the turnover by acting as a salesman to gain extra business• Setting budgets for each branch• Identifying and resolving any adverse variances against budget• Performance appraisals with my managers once every quarter• Effective recruitment and appointment of branch managers and assistant manager• Oversee each store location, monitor and report on performance• Actively monitoring competitor activity
