As Principal Consultant I took a lead role in managing and delivering a range of Globe’s planning services. I understand the commercial realities and personal impacts of the planning process on businesses and individuals and so ensure information is delivered clearly and that the client is fully appraised of any particular challenges and work necessary to take their proposal forward.I submit and act as the agent for a wide range of planning applications and appeals, coordinating and producing a variety of supporting documents which assist the determination of each respective development proposal. I manage project teams delivering technical input, ensuring the requirements of the planning system are met in the most efficient way possible. Once applications are submitted, I liaise directly with case officers, offering additional information and providing clarity to help mitigate any potential barriers to a successful outcome.

Whilst employed by Globe Consultants as a Planning Consultant I was responsible for assisting the delivery of Globe’s output, providing input ranging from pre-application advice through to managing and delivering planning proposals. I supported a wide range of individuals, landowners and developers, working closely with them to understand their aspirations and giving professional advice relating to the most appropriate route forwards for that particular scheme. I also contributed to Globe's most complex projects, working closely with the senior management team. Recent examples of such work include the ongoing delivery of a large marina & associated residential development, and supporting the Managing Director at appeal hearing. I also support the directors in work ensuring that productivity is maintained and information shared effectively across the team and support Globe’s business development activity.

After joining Globe Consultants as a Graduate Planning Consultant I supported more senior members of the team, conducting research used to inform the advice provided to clients and contributing to reports. I developed my understanding of the planning system and processes, including gaining experience in assessing a client’s aspirations for a site or scheme against its specific planning context. Having developed a considerable understanding of both national and localised planning policy requirements, I regularly prepared a range of supporting planning documents to assist with the determination of various prior approval, outline and full planning applications, planning appeals, and site submissions through formal 'Call for Sites' processes.Whilst working as a Graduate Planning Consultant, I also studied towards a Masters Degree in Urban Planning.
