I volunteered to teach and supervise summer camps in Shanghai, China, between the months of June and September. During this time, I would supervise children between the ages of 5-16 in outdoor activities such as kayaking and archery while also organizing and presenting English lessons to the children. This experience was very enjoyable and allowed me to create and improve a skill set which is useful for a career in teaching. My volunteer work in China opened my eyes to teaching as a potential career path.
