Selected to join the nuclear reactor planning team as a senior planner. Demonstrating a level of capability far exceeding the typical role of a senior planner, the opportunity has allowed demonstration of roles and responsibilities including, but not limited to: Creation of build & commisioning plans from scratch, over three seperate contracts, which isconsistent with other projects in the business. Guide & mentor new start network planners in creation and development of plans and in useof SAP & Primavera. Troubleshoot detailed schedule / sequence issues using advanced knowledge of SAP & detailplanning processes in addition to general problem solving. Act as software expert within the team, providing guidance on optimum use of P6, SAP & Microsot Excel to support project execution. Pilot & embed within the team new processes relating to the approval and signing off of plans. Undertaking college based modules, examinations and assignments, commensurate with theproject management function. Feedback any ideas to enhance continuous improvement. Work in compliance with exacting nuclear standards and regulations. Monitor and report on critical path status and earned value progress. Chair regular plan reviews.

Following successful graduation from apprenticeship; a role was undertaken with the networkplanning team which included roles and responsibilities including, but not limited to: Creation of network plans and identification of materials to support project implementation. Play a key role in resolving schedule / sequence issues during the execution phase of a project. Assist with preparation of company reports. Play an active part within meetings as required by the role. Seek opportunities for self-development and skills ehancement, taking on extra stretchassignments and responsibility outside of the role profile. Ensure all tasks are carried out to timely targets and to the quality expected by the role. Liase with other areas of the business and internal stakeholders. Work within all company and legislative health and safety guidelines. Construct and validate a Bill of Material (BoM) to support execution of build. Maintain and report against project plans, monitoring and reporting against progress earned.

BAE formal structured apprenticeship into planning consisted of a number of placements within the planning department, concluding with a twelve month detail planning placement with exposure to roles and responsibilities including, but not limited to: Detailed scheduling of work orders. Supporting the build programme through resolution of material and detail scheduling issues. Development of bill of materials required to support the plans. Undertaking internal and college based modules, examinations and assignments, commensurate with the planning and project controls function. Materials & manufacturing planning. Developing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders to meet their requirements. Full lifecycle planning of projects, covering most areas of the submarine business and schedule development, resource development and profiling, cost analysis and project scope definition. Primavera P6 planning. Application of coding system within P6. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) using SAP.
