• Passed 14 sorties in the Grob 115E (Tutor T), including standard circuits and basic aerobatics. • Finished the 100 mile 4-day ‘Walk of the World’ in Nijmegen, the world's largest multiple-day march. • Took part in various leadership exercises and scenarios on a week-long squadron deployment. • Designed, ordered and distributed squadron branded apparel including lanyards, fleeces and mugs.• Ran an auction of squadron sports equipment, to raise money for charity.

Systems Engineering:• Worked alongside 14 summer placement students on two parallel self-managed projects:1. Developed a sig. gen and spectrum analyser running on an RFSoC (Xilinx embedded hardware).2. Developed a pulse radar system running on Leonardo RF processing hardware.• Agile methodology: Azure DevOps to coordinate 2-week sprints with daily stand-ups on Teams.• Produced software requirements from a list of stakeholder needs, using Atlassian Confluence.• Gave a demonstration and final presentation to key stakeholders. Software Development (C#):• Worked in the software sub-team to develop command & control software for both projects.• Implemented the C&C software in C# to run on a standalone client computer.• Organised the C&C software into a GUI and a TCP/IP based network layer.• Wrote C# classes to encode and decode data packets as per the interface design.• Implemented methods to handle GUI events asynchronously, adopting an MVVM architecture.• Used both the Visual Studio IDE and Vivado SDK with Git for version control.Software Development (C++ and MATLAB):1. For the radar system, developed a C++ server to encode and decode data packets.2. For the spectrum analyser, used Simulink and MATLAB to develop a similar server. • Implemented a C++ class to simulate a doppler map, with Gaussian blur and additive noise.
