Highly-driven commercial insurance broker with ambitions to specialise in a particular sector within the insurance industry that I have been apart of for 3 years now.Currently Cert CII with additional skills and qualifications such as IOSH and First Aid working towards my Diploma CII. Looking to gain further qualifications in risk management and health & safety such as NEBOSH in order to procure extensive knowlege in understanding how to assess risk and advise clients on how they can mitigate it so that their businesses are less exposed. At 21 years old, I am undergoing a transition from a dedicated account handler dealing with premiums up to £1m, to a junior account executive role. Primarily dealing with all general insurance for a range of clients and their businesses ranging all the way up to large £100m+ t/o companies. I have worked on both New and Existing Business. From this line of work, I have gained vast experience through visiting businesses, negotiating & networking with underwriters, and regularly maintaining a maximum level of service through highly engaged dialogue with our clients. Which, is something my company, Romero Insurance Brokers, prides itself on as one of the biggest independent brokers in the UK. I live in the real world. I know that a business’s ultimate aim is to reduce costs in order to maximise profits, and I understand that insurance can weigh a heavy burden on their finances but unfortunately it can sometimes only been seen as a burden. However, insurance grants people and businesses financial security when done right. I truly understand the value that a broker can bring to a business, and I hold-sacred, the importance of fulfilling thorough and comprehensive reviews of risks, identifying gaps, ensuring cover is always on the correct basis and with solid, reliable markets, maintaining fair premium, and principally, the importance in engaging in transparent client and insurer relationships. This all ensures the best chances that claims are paid out in the unfortunate event of a loss to their business. Oh, and I am a massive Nottingham Forest fan!
